Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville/Unknown Woman singing Au Claire De La Lune
How strange to hear the voice of this unknown woman singing a few words of Au Claire De La Lune, the very first sound every recorded (before Edison’s successful experiments) in 1860 bythe Frenchman Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville. There is something magical about her voice being the first in the history of mankind to remain on record and to continue into the future.
Ok so it’s actually quite creepy a sound but still….
